ABOUT
I’m Saskia Van Gils — founder of THE SELF CLUB.
Dutch father. Portuguese mother. Indian roots.
Which explains both the love for structure and the inability to do anything without feeling.
For over twenty years, I worked in fashion and built and ran a successful retail business in Antwerp, Belgium.
I learned how to create, lead, grow, and keep things moving.
I also became a mother at 23.
So business, motherhood, responsibility, ambition, and “holding it all together” all arrived at once.
A beautiful life.
A very committed calendar.
And for a long time, I managed it all.
Until one day, I didn’t.
At some point, the whole SELF I had carefully held together collapsed — and with it came the question I could no longer avoid:
What actually makes a life feel good?
That question changed everything.
What followed were years of rebuilding, studying NLP, Transactional Analysis, Family Constellations, Yin Yoga, and Reiki — alongside the deeper work around burnout, patterns, beliefs, energy, and learning how to stop living entirely from the outside in.
Would I do it all again?
Absolutely.
Because somewhere through all of it, I gathered the experience, perspective, and understanding that would later become my life’s work.
And for the last 10 years, I’ve been helping people reconnect with themselves — through energy work, mentoring, movement, and the kind of conversations that make life feel lighter again.
Because inner work changes how you feel.
But outer expression changes how you move through the world.
Today, I combine energy work, mentoring, and my background in fashion to help mostly women feel aligned — internally and externally.
THE SELF CLUB was created as an environment where women can slow down, hear themselves again, and return to who they already are.
Less performance.
More truth.
More feeling alive.
